Class Options for Beginners
Yoga Basics focuses on the foundations of the practice and the mechanics of postures in an environment that is welcoming to beginners, but can also be helpful to experienced yogis, seeking attention to detail in regards to alignment and breath awareness. We suggest first time yogis begin with Yoga Basics.
Yin is a slower, quieter practice that focuses on creating flexibilty in the joints and connective tissues, encouraging more ease in the body and an improved flow of prana/chi. This style of yoga asks us to take passive poses for longer periods of time to train our bodies and minds to slow down, listen and be more present.
Rest and Restore uses props such as bolsters, blocks, straps, blankets, aromatherapy and soothing music to modify traditional yoga poses. The supportive postures, held for an extended period of time, gently open the body to a state of deep relaxation and healing. This class is encouraged and highly recommended to All Levels of yoga practitioners.
