Missy is an ambitious, lifelong learner with a strong work ethic. When she explores something new, she wants to know as much as possible. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Writing, with minors in music theory and performance; certificates in Recording Engineering and Audio Production; and a Master of Music degree in music theory and composition. In February 2011, she made yoga her focus. By practicing yoga, Missy found relief from the stresses of working her way through graduate school. Yoga helped her to gain an awareness of the interconnectedness of mind and body. She began to experience less stress and worry, and over time, she became stronger and more flexible. Missy quickly evolved from yoga student to teacher. She completed a six-week, 200-hour training course at Lafayette Center for Yoga, and has been a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance since January 2012. She teaches a variety of yoga styles, including Ashtanga, slow flow, yin, restorative, vinyasa, and aerial. In addition to teaching yoga, Missy works as a freelance audio engineer and part-time music educator.
